EINDHOVEN February 14th 2008 – We would like to say thanks to a few people, without whom the organization and success of Tectonics Making Meaning would not have been possible.

EINDHOVEN February 21st 2008 – A coverage of the Tectonics Making Meaning conference will be published in the upcoming edition of de Architect, thé Dutch Architectural Magazine (mediapartner of Tectonics).
The article will cover and evaluate the conference and the contributions of most of the plenary speakers. de Architect March 2008.

EINDHOVEN March 6th 2008 – All conference proceedings, posters and video footage have been published on this website. Proceedings and posters can be donloaded as pdf format free of charge. All video footage taken in the Blue Hall of the Auditorium is online. Video footage taken in Plaza Vertigo will be published here soon.
All video footage that was taken at the lectures of Jan Westra, Jacob Voorthuis, John Thackara, Rogier van der Heide, Bernard Colenbrander, Sylvia Karres, Chris Williams and Ken Yeang, taken by CityTV in the Blue Hall of the Auditorium, can be viewed on our video page. Tectonics Making Meaning, all about interdisciplinary design!
Students and Faculty staff organise a large international event.
‘Tectonics Making Meaning’ is an international conference and student
design competition which will take place at the Department of
Architecture, Building and Planning at the University of Technology in
Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The event consists of an international
student design competition as well as an international conference to be
held on the 10, 11 en 12 December 2007. The Chief Government Architect
of The Netherlands, Mels Crouwel will open the conference. Speakers
include Ken Yeang, Kenneth Frampton, Bert Dirrix and others. The theme
of the conference and the design competition is tectonics.
